Since 1988 we have been committed to SofTrack's excellence in software metering. And now, with Audit and Control, Quick Inventory and Smart Inventory SofTrack provides complete software audit and control for your enterprise.
Througout its existence, SofTrack's development has always been performed by the same core programming team. This includes the times when SofTrack was offered by the various vendors listed below. Each of these vendors merely acted as an exclusive publisher of SofTrack.

First Release: 1988 - SiteLock for NetWare
SofTrack was originally named SiteLock. Integrity Software began development of SiteLock in late 1987 with the first release occurring
in April 1988. SiteLock's first public announcement occurred in the June 1988 issue of LAN Magazine:
1988 - SiteLock distributed by Brightwork
In late 1988 Brightwork Development became the sole distributor of SiteLock. Integrity Software remained as the developer of SiteLock.
In 1990 SiteLock won its first industry award, PC Magazine's Editor's Choice!
Later in that same year SiteLock was recognized by LAN Times Magazine:
In 1993 Brightwork released SiteMeter and returned distribution of SiteLock to Integrity Software:
One year later McAfee purchased Brightwork Development and SiteMeter became a McAfee product that was eventually discontinued.
1993 - Integrity releases SofTrack for NetWare
After SiteLock's distribution was returned to Integrity Software in 1993 work began on SofTrack which was a marked improvement of SiteLock. In October 1993 SofTrack was
introduced to the world at Networld Dallas. Shortly thereafter the following LAN Times article officially announced SofTrack:
1994 - SofTrack distributed by ON Technology
In January 1994 Integrity Software transfered distribution rights of SofTrack to ON Technology. Integrity remained fully in control of SofTrack's development.
In April 1995, Network Computing Magazine's Well-Connected award was bestowed upon SofTrack as the Best Software Metering application:
One month later Microsoft announces big plans that change how their products are licensed:
First Release: 1996 - SofTrack for Windows NT
In late 1996 SofTrack for Microsoft Windows NT was released:
SofTrack was included in PC Magazine's 15th Anniversary edition:
1997 - SofTrack distributed by Elron
In November of 1997 ON Technology transferred its SofTrack distribution rights to Elron Software:
2000 - SofTrack distribution returns to Integrity
In September 2000 SofTrack's distribution returned to Integrity Software. Since SofTrack's return to Integrity Software we have vastly improved the product and have introduced a
first class technical support group that is very successful in maintaining customer satisfaction.
Subsequent to September 2000 the following major features have been added to SofTrack:
- Thin Client Metering
- Idle Application Detection
- Timekeeping prompt for billing back use
- Quick Inventory
- Smart Inventory
- Audit - File Opens/Creates
- Audit - Internet Explorer Access Attempts
- Control - Deny Creation/Modification of *.EXE and *.COM files
- Control - Deny Browsing the internet via Internet Explorer
- ...and more
